The SWiCH facial is one of several signature facial services offered by Facial32 Dental Esthetics as an alternative to traditional chemical peels. It’s a way to remove sun exposure damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and dead skin from your face, giving you a more youthful appearance. But unlike chemical peels, SWiCH facials actually stimulate the skin to heal itself.
The SWiCH system uses specific ingredients to switch on the skin’s own repair mechanism and allow it to improve damaged skin. It begins with a method to penetrate the skin deeply, then generate energy to switch on the skin’s repair system.
Chemical peels rely on the idea that the skin will heal itself once it’s damaged. SWiCH facials turn on that repair mechanism without causing significant damage first. It does this through a series of applications.
Pyruvic Acid: This biomolecule helps generate energy at the mitochondrial level of cells. Pyruvic acid also stimulates your skin to heal itself more quickly, but without having major damage first.

Patients should avoid water, saunas, and any exposure to the sun for 12 hours after treatment. You can wear makeup within 24 hours, but only if you first apply a blemish balm (BB) cream first. It’s best to wait three days before applying makeup directly to your skin.
